RARE INSCRIPTION BY MARK G. HARRIS TO THE GOVERNER OF ILLINOIS DATED THE YEAR OF PUBLICATION. Illustrated. 95 pages. Lengthy inscription on pastedown, signed by Mark G. Harris:"To my dear friend Hon. Henry Horner, one ot the ourstanding good Goveners of Illinois in the most trying times in the history of the state. Held in high esteem by all thinking people for his Ability, Courage, and Fairness. A firm believer in the Golden Rule and a Gentleman at all times. Sincerely, Mark G. Harris May 9, '35." Green cloth color lightly faded in areas, pastedown and endpapers toned, else a very clean tight copy with no internal foxing, notations, underlining, creases, tears, or soiling. Scarce unclipped dust jacket has small creases along the top edge of the rear panel, but complete and protected in mylar. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
