It comments, among other things, on the rich set and the poverty in the favellas and also describes the making of the film. This is Berkoff's second travel book, his first one being "America". It builds up a picture of Rio and a self-portrait of the actor and playwright. Berkoff's plays include "Metamorphosis", "West", "East" and "Hamlet".
