This privately printed collection was thoroughly edited by Lovecraft with six poems written by him. Inscribed by the author on flyleaf, as is common with this title, to Mr. and Mrs. Potter and daughter Mary, dated June 1923. Inlaid is an intricate illustration inscribed "Complimentary to Mary Potter for Correct Dictation by W. M. Tyler." Blue cloth boards have scattered soiling. Shelfwear to edges with near total loss of head of spine and chipping to tail. Corners bumped. Rubbing to joints with a split to cloth starting at top of front joint. Upward bow to front board. Gilt spine titling completely rubbed away. Gilt cover titling is rather dulled. Gilt topstain is very dulled. Soiling and toning to edges of textblock. Interior age-toned with scattered foxing, heavy to title page and frontis portait. Binding loosening at table of contents. Two newspaper clipped poems inlaid at pages 40-41 and 64-65 causing toning. A just good copy of a scarce title, highly collectible for a Lovecraft completist.…
