About this Item
Quarto (11 x 8 1/2 inches; 280 x 220 mm), unpaginated, comb-bound in white plastic. SIGNED by Jack Micheline (1929-1998) on the cover, the title page and at other points in the book. A limited-edition handmade book, #1 of only 4 copies, featuring dozens of street/Beat poet Jack Micheline's poems, stories and drawings from the 1950s to the 1980s, assembled from photocopies of Micheline's original typescripts and publications. The cover is an original painting, with the limitation statement in marker in Micheline's hand to the verso, while the title-page is handwritten in ink. In addition, a number of the pieces are individually signed by Micheline (some in the photocopy, some for this publication). The rarest of Micheline's assemblages, which he would create from time to time for specific occasions, or to raise funds. OCLC shows no institutional holdings. None in commerce. RARE. CONDITION: Some soiling and staining to lower wrapper, light wear, notes in ink to rear end paper, slight curling to some page corners. Overall, Very Good. Seller Inventory # 903
