About this Item
Hardback. Front hinge loosening and binding notably weakened. Straight, sharp brown cloth boards with gilt titles to cover and spine. Internally clean with no foxing. Inscribed 'Mr Mrs Reid, Springfield, with regards from George Colburn, July 1902, Stonehaven' Small leaflets - 'Dulce Cor or Sweetheart Abbey' by George Colburn (1893) pasted within prelims (initialed by Colburn). This poem is followed 'The Poet, His Passion' (initialed by Colburn), 'Platelayer Watt' and 'To the Sea Daisy '(also initialed). 'Poems on Wallace' and 'James III of Scotland' complete this small set of additional poems pasted into the book - these two poems have hand-written notes (dates and geographical information), probably by Colburn, in the margins.
