Signed and inscribed by Thomas Clark and one other on the title page. DJ shows light edgewear, minor soiling. "The community of Pleasant Hill has long suvived the persons who organized it, and who used their talents and skills to construct sturdy buildings. About the village lies a broad farm of excellent pastures and fields. Today farmers are still harvesting from the fields excellent crops of tobacco and grain. There are still traces of Shakers on the land. A study not only of the Shakers, but of the changes which occurred in the Ohio Valley and the Nation during the Century of Shaker activity."
