Signed in thin black felt pen by author at the bottom of title page, beneath his printed name; below that he has written the date (" 13:II.2015"); done in my presence at Saint Louis County (Missouri) Library headquarters on February 13, 2015, after a delightful and very entertaining 7 PM session involving a Saint Louis poet reading from her soon-to-be-published book, a series of readings (p. 54-60 & 163-166) from this book and a question & answer session. This was, according to the author, his only stop on his book tour. I also have a flier & a bookmark from this author event.

About the Author

Daniel Handler is the author of the novels The Basic Eight, Watch Your Mouth, Adverbs, and Why We Broke Up. As Lemony Snicket, he is responsible for many books for children, including the thirteen-volume sequence A Series of Unfortunate Events and the four-book series All The Wrong Questions. He is married to the illustrator Lisa Brown, and lives with her and their son in San Francisco.
