This children's book was written by the broadcaster and wife of the late RTE (Irish television) broadcaster Gay Byrne. The hardcover First edition, First Printing is in near fine condition with sharp corners and only two very small dents on the bottom edge. It is signed (not inscribed) on the title page in black marker. The Unclipped dust jacket has a little edge wear especially along the top, spine ends and corners but no cuts tears or chips. Glossy printed pages inclined to stick together. Original bookseller sticker on front stating Signed by the Author. Please examine all seller photos. Seller Inventory # 000850

About the Author:

Kathleen Watkins was a well-known harpist and folk singer when she became the first continuity announcer to appear on screen on Telefís Éireann's launch night in 1960. She married the broadcaster Gay Byrne and lived for many years in Howth where the Pigín stories are set.

Margaret Anne Suggs was born and raised in the American deep South, but later moved to Dublin, Ireland to pursue her Master’s Degree at the National College of Art and Design. When she is not drawing, painting and making things, she teaches as a lecturer in the Illustration department at Ballyfermot College of Further Education where she founded the Illustration course. She lives in County Dublin, near the sea with her husband, sons and cat.
