Item description from seller

1970-1984. Cooney died in 1985. Volume VIII nos 1 & 2 is the missing issue. Fascinating international record of the radical pacifist take on the times with some contributors from the first series still represented notably Jean Giono's last installment of Refusal to Obey (he died as the first issue was going to press), Kay Boyle & Hervey White. A number of the new series contributors are listed under pseudonymns.Mark Phillips makes an effective case for "Giles Weaver" being J. D. Salinger. Ownership signature of Arnold Wesker on ffep of each book. Two short a.l.s. from Cooney to Arnold Wesker laid in as well as a prospectus for the reprint edition of the 1938-1940 Vols I & II. Unobtrusive sunning to some cover edges, one splash mark to a spine & light insect damage to some covers with actual lace edging to one! Bindings sharp & contents clean. Extra Postage will be required - SHIPPED AT COST.
