Simms covers all the basics that a quarterback will need if he is to succeed, from warm-ups to specific throwing techniques, from off-season training to in-game strategy. In plain language and in abundant photographs and illustrations, Simms demonstrates the fundamental steps and movements involved in throwing the football that will help quarterbacks of all ages and experience pass with greater accuracy, speed, and consistency. The drills and quarterback workouts are designed to reinforce passing mechanics and build strength and flexibility. Simms's experiences in the NFL provide another level of insight into the position, as he examines the qualities of leadership, confidence, and game performance that are necessary for quarterback success.
Phil Simms on Passing will help quarterbacks of all ages and levels, from Pee Wees to professionals. It is an indispensable teaching tool for players, coaches, and parents that will improve every passer's throwing skills.
