[iv],xliii,[i],82,[2]pp. Portrait frontispiece. §Editor's ink presentation inscription to front free endpaper, above note apparently in the same hand. Front pastedown bears the ink ownership name of the diarist, poet and eccentric Arthur Joseph Munby (1828-1910) dated from Lincoln's Inn, Inner Temple, 1879. Original diaper-grain cloth, gilt lettering, sometime rebacked with remains of original spine laid down, inner hinges strengthened. Title-page, prelims. and last leaves rather heavily foxed.
