About this Item
Octavo. x, 213, [1] pp. First edition, signed and warmly inscribed by Smith to art historian Sidney Alexander. Alexander, who is perhaps most known for his critically acclaimed biography of Marc Chagall, wrote many books on art history and won the PEN award for his translation of Francesco Guicciardini's "The History of Italy." This is a bright, fresh copy in lightly shelfworn dust jacket. A nice association. Seller Inventory # 5736
