First edition. Hardcover in very good condition in green cloth titled in gilt to front and spine. Author's name penned on his personal dedication plate to Ronnie ("ex dono auctoris") on the front pastedown. Very slight spotting to tail of front board otherwise entirely crisp and fresh throughout. Original dust jacket overall good although a little shelf worn to edges and nicked to corners and spine tips. 227 pp. An interesting auto biography by Sir Michael Clapham who was a chorister at Cambridge, a classicist, a master printer, an industrialist, head of the CBI and who also played a key role in the development of the atomic bomb.
