This is an original watercolor Signed in full by Franklin that was produced as artwork for the book Buster Mesquite's Cowboy Band published by Ernie Bulow of Buffalo Medicine Books in 2001, all characters in that book were conceived and designed by Bulow for the book, but the art was executed by Franklin, Franklin and Bulow teamed up to add original art to a large number of books authored by Tony Hillerman which are scarce and desirable, this watercolor measures 17 inches wide by 14 inches tall. The usual minor warping of the paper caused by the watercolor, else fine.
