Two older books from, we presume, the library of Canadian literary giant Margaret Atwood. Forest Trees of Maine (stapled wrappers 9"x 4.75" 88pgs) signed "Peggy Atwood" on the top centre of the front cover. Signed "Atwood" on the top right corner of the front cover of "The Vascular Plants." (11" x 8.5", 96 stapled pages with brown linen spine). Could possibly be text books from her checkered days at University of Toronto in the late 50s/early 60s. Or, they could have once belonged to her father Carl, who studied forest entomology. There are no marking in the Forest Trees of Maine, but there are notations in The Vascular Plants of Southern Ontario (can't determine if its in Atwood's hand or not). Did Atwood use these in class at U of T or for research for her poems, novels, etc. A good research project for any Atwood aficionado. Rare regardless. Seller Inventory # 100
