"No Odds on the Dreamer" is a novel about a romanticist. A fictional tale of a young man in his twenties covering the years 1943 through 1952. The characters and story are fictitious. As in most novels, the author's perceptions of life and his experiences are reflected in his writings. He does this to make a fictional tale more realistic. This is just one trait of a good storyteller. The people and events are a fictitious composite, a combination of many varied traits and characteristics into imaginary persons or episodes. The military and war segments are typified by the author's experiences and interpretations of World War II and the Korean Conflict. While these episodes are part of the fictional tale, most, but not all events are based in essence on reality.
