Item description from seller

Good to very good copy, signed by Max Ferguson "to Alex Sinclair with best wishes." This book won the 1968 Stephen Leacock Award for Humour and is a 1969 printing (6th), illustrated by Doug Wright, with an introduction by Allan McFee. Lime Green boards with small slant to spine, good corners, clean unmarked text. Dust jacket is unclipped, but shows lots of wear and some loss. Max Ferguson was a CBC radio broadcaster who was noted for his humour, but also for his discovery and encouragement of Canadian musicians. Alex Sinclair, a long time member of the Ontario band, Tamarack, is also credited with the writing of over two hundred songs of political satire for the CBC radio network. Both are members of the Porcupine Hall of Fame (and that is my argument that this is therefore not just signed and inscribed, but also an association copy!).

Store description

I am a book lover and collector with a literary education (which means I have not read Ulysses, but I have taken classes on it). I am a packrat and aficionado of fine and serviceable used items in the belief that it is time to slow down production and slow down our lives in order to appreciate and share that which already exists.
