Second (First Revised) Edn., 1896; plain paper covers (recto orange, verso blue); all edges uncut; [vi]+ii+63pp.; illus. bw. frontispiece. Neat insciption written to front flyleaf in black ink: 'Leonard G. Bolingbroke, Esq., from the Author'. (The solicitor/antiquary, Leonard George Bolingbroke (1859-1927), founded the Stranger's Hall Museum in Norwich.) Slightly soiled covers lightly nicked at edges, but quite bright; moderate-to-heavy foxing to page edges; sporadic slight foxing to occasional pages, but pages generally crisp/bright; pp.[i]-ii detached from cords, but present, and book all complete. The book has been inserted (circa mid-1900s, almost certainly by a professional restorer/binder) within plain tan boards with beige cloth spine; paper label with typewritten titling laid down to front board/spine; paper covers of book tipped-in to boards at spine, with brown paper reinforcement to gutter, and text block (detached from covers) laid in. Neat, brief pencil annotation to outer margin p.19; brief (one word) annotation in ink to inner margin p.44.
