11.25" x 8.75" SIGNED and dated to ffep. Oblong. Full black paper boards. [26] pp. Fully illustrated in colour. Fine. Norman Takeuchi was born to Japanese parents and grew up in Vancouver. His work is a moving expression of his struggle and ultimately his success in finding the harmony, resolution and beauty that comes with inheriting two distinct cultures. He draws deeply on memories of his family's relocation during World War II. Laid in is an invitation to the exhibition, April 27-May 30 at the Cube Gallery. Also laid in is a note from Takeuchi to Keith Branscombe, reading "June 2010 / Keith, This is my catalogue for the show. My first catalogue so it's pretty exciting. Norman. / P.S. I did not design the invitation card.".
