Add to basket187 pages. Illustrated with drawings and photographs. With a foreword by Rex Beach and an Introduction by Bernard Darwin written especially for the UK edition. Through more than twenty printings not one word of this book was changed. Morrison was known in America as "the Wizard of Golf Instructors" and particularly regarding the golf swing. As Darwin wrote in the Introduction: "He has made a life-long study of the golfing swing, practically, anatomically, photographically and in every other conceivable way." The most widely printed instructional until Ben Hogan's. The first US edition run of A New Way to Better Golf was 3,000 copies. It is reasonable to assume the UK printing was no more and probably less than 3,000 copies. Very uncommon first edition. In the original brown and tan checked cloth, no stains or damage. Stamp of "Sea War Library Service" on pastedown and ffep. No former owner name or bookplate, no internal damage save light foxing predominantly on pages closest to the covers. PERIOD AUTOGRAPH IN BLACK FOUNTAIN PEN INK OF ALEX MORRISON TIPPED ONTO TITLE PAGE. Covers protected in mylar. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
