1960. First Edition. 267 pages. Signed by the author. Illustrated jacket (priced $3.00, designed by Barry Martin) over blue cloth with black lettering to spine. Inscription to FEP reads 'To Jill from her godmother, G. Joan Reeve April 1960'. This presumed to be an inscription by the author. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Minimal gutter cracking. Binding is firm. The number 99 is written in pen to front pastedown (perhaps a personal library number, or perhaps a fan of The KLF). Erased pencil markings to FEP. Endpapers have strips of tanning caused by jacket. pp 126-143 tanned darker than the rest, perhaps due to different paper quality. Block edges mildly tanned and scratched. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Slightly sunned edges. Mild brown spots and forward lean. Unclipped jacket has light edgewear with small tears, mild chips, and creasing. Jacket is a touch tanned, rubbed and marked overall.
