The narrative and verse in this book span five generations, focusing on the nearly one hundred years of Fleeta's life, beginning in September, 1910 and ending in July, 2010. The poems and lyrics are reflections on love, life, and leaving by four descendents of Pearl Hege Martin, of Davie County, North Carolina. You will find writings that will make you laugh and cry, and some that will remind you of something that happened to you or a loved one. In between the verse is the story of a family that sticks together through good times and bad times, and shares their love and wisdom across the miles and across the generations, mother to daughter, mother to daughter. The book is organized in three sections, love, life and leaving. "We were bound by invisible bonds though you were free to be, And I'll be here to hold your hand For all Eternity.".
