An engraving in the style of Mary Cassatt, her name is signed in faint pencil on bottom right: "M. Cassatt" BUT NOTE: we are pretty sure it is not her signature, we are not selling this as an authentic Mary Cassatt; it is a lovely engraving of mother & child; publishing date unknown; seems to have been printed in Germany because there is a very faint printers stamped embossed in the paper (1/4in. circular) with the following:" WHOL?.Berlin.?SSIE" but the rest is too faint to read, inside the printer's stamp appears to be an image of maybe a bird or something with wings and a W in the middle of it; on the left side next to printer's stamp is numbering that appears to be and edition size: a letter P or the number 10, then the numbers 17/ 150 or 50: image size: 9-1/4 x 10-1/2 in; paper size 13 x 15-1/2in; sunning from the original matting; borders have glue marks where it probably was attached to a mat; some creases to paper within the boards also some faint creases within the image; a small tear at top right boarder (not in the image); it appears the paper was trimmed to fit a frame, at the left and bottom the paper has been turned back to also fit within a previous frame; otherwise the image is in GOOD COND.
