90 [+5] pp. Quarto [27 cm]; saddle-stapled in printed self-wrappers. Heavily worn and chipped along edges and corners. Does not affect printed text except for a few small areas just beyond the margin. Age-toned, brittling. First two and last two leaves are split at the fold, completely detached, but present. Extensive record of the minutes of this annual IWW convention. The final [4] pages reprint some really nice political cartoons: -Page [92]: Cartoon by Dust Wallin. Caption reads: "General Amnesty or General Strike" -Page [93]: Cartoon by Dust Wallin. Caption reads: "His Voice Drowns Out All Their Polyanna Songs" -Page [94]: Cartoon by an Unkown Artist (signed in the block/print but illegible to us). Caption reads: "The Salvation of the Workers Lies in this One Great Power" -Page [95]: Cartoon by Art Young. Caption reads: "The Spirit of Labor's Only Hope" Both artists Art Young and Dust Wallin drew many political cartoons for various IWW publications. Art Young (1866-1943) was a very well known and highly accomplished cartoon artist who was particularly regarded not only for his biting social commentary, but also his ability to remain light-hearted, funny, and popular. Wallin's biography is rather more mysterious he was "known as 'the Gustave Doré of the IWW' because of his conceptual richness and engraving-like detail" and some have speculated that "Dust" was likely a more popular and commercially trained artist who also provided art for the IWW on a strictly anonymous basis.
