About this Item
1990. First edition limited to 500 copies of which this is copy No. 8. x, 45pp. and an illustration on the endpapers. This is the lawsuit history of a famous case involving a once deeded right to raise rabbits on the golf links at St. Andrews. The hares infuriated the golfers with their omnipresent burrows and the golfers claimed antecedence. Though two decades there were several suits brought, but at the end of the day, the golfers won out in Dempster v. The Golfers Society of St. Andrews and the golf links were preserved to every golfer's great relief. The book is bound in the original green paper covered boards with black titling on the spine and front board and a vignette of a rabbit on the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with light shelf wear on the boards. The contents are tight and clean and the page detailing the edition has been numbered and flat signed by the author. Seller Inventory # gGolf19
