Gray cloth with the gilt titling over dark blue on the spine, publisher's device on the front cover, pictorial map front endpapers by Emmons. Some tan spotting (foxing) to the front enpapers, prelims., titlepage, a spot from a removed bookplate on the reverse of the front free endpaper, lower corner of pp. 207-208 is torn off. Some light fading, spotting to outer covers. Inscribed and signed in blue ink by Arthur B. Emmons 3rd on the front flyleaf: "To Bill Loomis auf bergheil Arthur B. Emmons 3rd." Two penciled dates follow (possibly when the book was read by Loomis?): Sept 3, 1935 WPL Nov 19, 1935 WPL. Copies of the 1935 edition, inscribed and signed by any of the authors are quite scarce.
