xviii, 285 p. Illustrations. Notes. Bibliography. Index. One of America's leading brain researchers conducts a dazzling exploration of how memory works. Within our brains, millions of nerve cells communicate with each other, sensing, recognizing, and storing events, images, and emotions. All this activity constitutes our consciousness and our memory. But no one has been able to explain just how memory works--until now. Very good in very good dust jacket. Signed by author. First edition. Stated. First printing [stated].
