First Edition. Signed and Inscribed by author in golden ink to front free endpaper. Original maroon cloth, gilt lettering to front cover, original endpapers. Author was a widely known physician and surgeon of eastern Connecticut, and a graduate of the medical department of Yale College. His medical work involved advancing treatments of Pneumonia, and improved methods of using plaster splints in the treatment of fractures of lower extremities. Author was also a director of the State Prison at Wethersfield. Very Scarce, no library holdings on WorldCat. Very Good, attractive volume with only light wear and surface soiling, clean text.
