About this Item

Inscribed to my parents, "For Betty and Gordon with warm regards Donald 24-1-83" and sold with Replica of a Pre-Columbian ceramic figure from the Vera Cruz region of Mexico, dating roughly from 600-800 CE. These figures, often female, are known as "coast watchers". They were possibly placed along the shoreline to watch for invaders. I carried this back from a trip to Cozumel, circa 1979. Daily Breeze newspaper and invitation to book sharing at Donald's home included.

It includes 1000's of cooking, art, and other beautiful and rare books of literary significance and letters from their provenance - Juliet Child, M.F.K. Fisher, etc. My parents ensured that I followed in their stead. I have collected many signed by my provenance, leaders in diving, underwater photography, and the Oceans - Sylvia Earle, Ernest Brooks, Jean Michel Cousteau, Wyland, Willard Bascom, too many to mention. And I enjoy reading about UFO's and have many historically significant exposes in this genre. It's time to share these with more than my bookshelves, so please enjoy seeing what we next upload and help me in moving these onto those who will care and enjoy these treasures.
