Slim octavo (20.25cm); decorative card wrappers, stapled; [2],3-31,[1]pp, with a reproduction of an 1862 photo of Twain flanked by W.H. Claggett and A.S. Simon. Inscribed by the editor on the title page in the year of publication: "To Miss Pearl Bryan / from her friend / Cyril Clemens / Sept.18, 1929." Some wear to extremities, mild toning, a few creases, and a few faint splash marks to covers, with some oxidation to staples; contents are clean and complete; Very Good. Collection of over 75 stories, anecdotes, and personal encounters with Twain, submitted by members of the Mark Twain Society in response to a contest. The contents include an introduction by Cyril Clemens, with tributes by John Galsworthy and G.K. Chesterton. Not in BAL. 87437. Seller Inventory # 87437
