They were young, immortal, going to conquer a glittering New York for their private dreams - Maureen, Pete, Rick, the fanatic Max Alfreda (madman, genius, or perhaps both), Judith Tower and Paul Shaw. Everything was possible, and Paul Shaw and Judy Tower were in love. Ten years later a telephone call in the small hours of a New York night brings past, present and future together - Judy Tower has vanished, and Paul Shaw must search the labyrinth of past and present to uncover what happened to Judy and the private dreams they all shared ten years ago.
