Publisher's black cloth with typographic dust-jacket. A fine copy. An autobiographical account of the author's imprisonment during the Nigerian Civil War (1967-9). Wole Soyinka (born 1934) was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1986, the first sub-Saharan African to be honoured in that category. Harry Saltzman co-founded Danjaq, S.A. with Albert R. Broccoli in 1962, the parent company of Eon Productions being a holding company for James Bond screen rights. With 'Cubby' Broccoli, he produced the first nine 007 movies. This copy was later part of the comprehensive James Bond collection assembled by Jon Gilbert (bookplate within).
