Glossy pages clean and unmarred. Pages were flattened down in middle but binding firm. First edition and includes "1" on the number line. A fine dust jacket; protected in a mylar jacket. Barry Moser signed in gold ink on the black paper of the the front end paper. Moser won the National Book Award for Design and Illustration for "Alice in Wonderland." This poem originally appeared in a 1945 Faber & Faber collection of Treece's poems called "The Black Seasons".
