8vo. 272 pp. Original black cloth binding. This has an interesting and humorous INSCRIPTION from Garrett to Bill Starr on the half-title page and the title page. On the latter he has inscribed the book to a couple, thanking them, then crossed through it with the additional words above: "Sorry about that, Bill. . . ." and then on the half-title page: "Never mind the title page. This one is really and truly for Bill Starr. In gratitude & with all best wishes, George Garrett Sept. '79." Bill Starr, author and reviewer, has been at the very forefront for over three decades of advancing Southern Literature, first as Book Review Editor for The State in Columbia, SC for which he wrote hundreds of insightful, intelligent reviews for both emerging as well as established writers, and more recently as the Executive Director of Georgia Center for the Book in Decatur, GA. Light rubbing at the extremities else near fine in a very good DJ with some soil rear panel.
