Description:
The author was a FLeet Air Arm pilot during the Second World War and took part in the attack on the Bismarck, he then became a test-pilot and held the record for the fastest flight in 1953. Signed by the author to the title page 'L Richards, With my best wishes Mike Lithgow, Dec. 1954' along with signatures of four other pilots. The previous owner has also written a note on the copyright page relating to a chance meeting he had with Lithgow. Includes 48*b/w photographs. 151pp. Blue cloth boards with lightly sunned spine. Several small white stains to upper front corner. Foxing to endpapers and preliminary pages. Seller Inventory # 51703
