Based on the actual diary of Helen Elizabeth Gilman, this travelogue recounts the Gilman travels from Southern California to the Mount Shasta region during the 1890s. Signed by Bowen on the title page, and additionally inscribed by her on the half-title. Octavo. Original green cloth binding, with gilt stamping. Internally crisp and clean.
