About this Item
"Around sixty copies printed on an Albion hand press by Ward Ritchie, October 1982." This copy is inscribed by Ward Ritchie to Mel Smith on the colophon. A warm remembrance of eccentric book designer Merle Armitage (1893-1975), with whom Ritchie collaborated on several projects. Octavo. Original marbled paper wrappers, with a printed paper label on the front panel. Faint smudge to the front flyleaf; else a fine copy. Housed in the publisher's slipcase, which is a little edgeworn.
