Add to basketGreen ribbed cloth w/ impressed design and gilt lettering on spine and front board. First edition printed in Sept. 1912 and second printing one month later in Oct. 1912. A former owner tipped a signed photo of Wells to the "also by" page to serve as a measure of authenticity of the inked Wells signature found on the second blank flyleaf. They compare favorably. With analysis using methods available to me, I feel strongly the signature is ink on paper (faded) and a valid Wells signature. The item shows bumping at spine ends and rubbing at corners. The cloth and gilt top edging are in Very Good condition. The case is tight and the gutters are sound. Additional information and/or photos are available upon request.
