Outer paper covers show some age-related light tanning to margins, small gray spot to upper front cover margin, light dusting to covers, and very light crease mark to right-hand front cover margin/edge. A signed copy (presented to Cleveland, Ohio based book collector, C. T. Lonney), by Carl Sandburg, with his signature on the titlepage (under the typographic ornament): For C.T. Lonney Carl Sandburg. Scan shows the signed titlepage. This poem was first published in The American Mercury Magazine, for July, 1924. A rare & very fragile type of item printed in an edition of 150 copies by Ward Ritchie (See Heise Ritchie Bibliography; 24, p. 127).
