The tenth Poldark novel is inscribed by the author on the backside of the free front end paper: "To Mark & Susan from Winston. Warmest Greetings. 27th October 1984." Library stamp on half-title states: "Library of Mark Shelmerdine." Shelmerdine was a film and TV producer whose company, London Films, was responsible for the TV series, Poldark. His wife Susan Jeffers wrote the self-help book "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyways" which sold millions of copies and was translated into thirty-five languages.
