Inscribed and dated (Jan 4/34) by author on ffep: "To F. Garfield McConnell, with cordial regards". Doran Company symbol on Copyright page. Dark brown textured boards with wrap-around gilt dragon design, 320 pages. Lightly rubbed and chipped on heel of spine, gilt titles and dragon design faded, tips of corners rubbed and bowed, backstrip pulled away slightly at head of spine, cracked at page 160 but binding firm. Pages darkened, small light smudge on 6 pages, crease on 5 pages, page darkened where clippings had been laid in on page 94-95, 104-105, 316-317 and 320 to rear free endpaper. Chip out of fore edge on page 271, 273. Overall, very good. Two related newspaper clippings laid in. Seller Inventory # 003840
