1969 First edition, first impression. Signed by Author. Size octavo, 8" tall, 272 pages. Black hard cover with gilt titles to the spine, very pale grey end-papers, with the dust jacket. Book condition very good plus, slight bump at base of spine, there are 5 minute what looks like old red ink spots to the outer edge of the pages, a couple of these have crept in on to the front end-paper and also another tiny bit on the dedication page, other than this the pages are very clean. Dust jacket condition very goodcorners and spine ends rubbed, slight age toning, slight curl to panel edges, not price clipped, price 30s net £1.50. Inscribed by the Author on the front end-paper; "Dear Frank - To remind you that you once suffered under Pontius Pilate - Joe" Prior to being an author Joseph O'Conor was also an actor on stage, screen and television including playing Mr. Brownlow in the film Oliver ! and Old Jolyon in the TV Series The Forsyte Saga.
