The author inscribed and dated this 224 page volume on the front free end paper. The boards are covered in an oat color cloth with black lettering on the spine. There is a black-and white map of the area as a frontispiece. The letters cover the authors time in Israel in the early 1950's. The interior of the book is clean and without marks. There is light soiling to the leaf edges. The dust wrapper while still bright has paper loss along the top and bottom edges and the spine show some sunning.
