Describes Mallory's final expedition to Mount Everest in 1924, the mystery surrounding his disappearance, and the discovery of his remains in 1999.David Finlay Breashears was an American mountaineer, filmmaker, author and motivational speaker. In 1985, he reached the summit of Mount Everest a second time, becoming the first American to reach the summit of Mount Everest more than once. He is perhaps best known as the director and cinematographer of Everest (1998)—which became the highest-grossing IMAX documentary—and for his assistance in the rescue efforts during the 1996 Everest disaster, which occurred during the film's production.

Store description
Individual book collector for more than 20 years. As I live in the San Francisco Bay Area (an enthusiastic literary market), prominent authors frequently visit local bookstores. I'm a professional environmental consultant, but my passion is reading so I frequently attend author lectures and bookstore signings. Most of the books I list were signed in my presence and in some cases, I include proof such as event fliers or photographs. Signature authenticity is absolutely guaranteed.
