Bound in the three quarters original rubbed morocco over boards with scattered general wear as photographed. The binding is tight and strong and was well made. This copy was formerly from the Hampton Bays public library in Long Island, NY. There are pockets in either end, it was owned but likely never lent. However it has a single stamp to the front flyleaf, one to the title page, page 19 and two small stamps to the half-title and one to the rear pastedown. Some minor foxing to the text. This is copy number 13 of a limited edition, signed by Maud Baum, which was given to Daisy Kneedler, Christmas in 1907. With 181 pages of text, a tipped in photograph frontispiece and 16 photo gravures after photographs mostly taken by Frank L. Baum. Frank Baum edited the volume and expanded on his wife's comments with his observations. He was close friends with Major William L Kneedler and Daisy is assumed to be a relative.
