"First Edition" stated with no other printing indication - 1st, Inscribed "All best wishes" and Signed by the Author on the half title page, light dusting/soiling to top/bottom edges of text block - bottom corner of front board bumped - fading to spine, dj now enclosed in mylar wrap shows edge wear, light soiling and light foxing - 3/8" tear to top edge with a short tear to bottom edge of spine, both tape-repaired on verso - short crease each to top/bottom corners of rear flap - original price intact, illustrated with drawings by the Author, black & white photographs and a fold-out color chart/map of the gulf coast of Florida from Sarasota Bay down to Boca Grande Pass, the main study area for the Cape Haze Marine Laboratory, later the Mote Marine.
