Seller: Nineveh & Tyre, Cedar Rapids, IA, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. A fine copy, in a near fine dust jacket, of the first US edition. The orange cloth binding, with a blind-stamped pattern of roses, is clean and unworn, with strong gilt lettering to the spine. Everything is square and tight, with sharp unbumped edges and corners. Inside there are no ownership inscriptions or other markings of any kind. The dust jacket is unclipped ($10.00), and fully intact with only minor edgewear. There is a minor, and almost invisible, dampstain to the rear board which does not intrude onto the volume. It is now protected in a removable mylar cover. From the jacket flap: "Here, for the first time, is the whole story of Jennie Jerome, based not only on familiar facts but also on hitherto unpublished letters, diaries and personal reminiscenses to which the author has had exclusive access with the complete cooperation of the whole Churchill family. It is a dazzling story, full of great names in high places, and although some ugly facts are there as well, they are not glossed over". Seller Inventory # NTDT0094
