A crazy illustrated anthology, with contributions from Neal Cassady, Alan Ginsberg, and Paul Krassner. For some reason, Arthur Miller was tapped to write an introduction: "This is, of course, a chaotic volume, and cynics will easily dispose of it as a transparent attempt to capitalize on twice- published material, plus stuff lying at the bottom of the drawer. . Whatever the intention, you can't help feeling you are reading a history, and maybe it is better to have it poured over your head like this than smoothed out, rationalized, and tied with a bow." Present here are both the hardcover and paperback editions, signed by Kesey. Also laid in are a review slip, a press release, a press photo, and the program from an event with Kesey in 1994. 238 pages each. First editions, first printings of both the paperback and hardcover issues of this title (which came out simultaneously). Both are signed by Kesey. The hardcover is near fine in a near fine dust jacket. The paperback is very good. Both books are housed in a custom black clamshell box, from the collection of the late Tom Garner of San Marcos, Texas, who met Kesey at an event at Southwest Texas State University there. The clamshell box is heavily faded.
