From the Author
This is a coffee table book for residents and visitors which records the best of Kent in colour photographs and text. Divided into areas, the county is shown in many fascinating and humourous ways. Countryside, built heritage and traditional lifestyles are portrayed in this book which is dedicated - with permission in this her centenary year - to HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports. The text was written by John Vigar well known as an historian author and broadcaster. The especially commissioned photographs were taken by Gregory Holyoake who is a regular contributor to `Kent Life`, `Country Life` and `The Lady`.
