In a Good+ dust jacket; chip to head of spine; wear to edges and folds; in an archival clear plastic sleeve. First Edition. Inscribed on the first free page "To Dale, from Morey Amsterdam." From the estate of Dale Olson, a Hollywood publicist who represented many A-list stars, most famously Rock Hudson, whom Olson persuaded in 1985 to admit that he had AIDS, to help educate the public about the issue. Olson was an early gay rights activist; in 1954, he became the first man to appear and be interviewed on television in the United States as a self-identified homosexual, using a pseudonym with his face obscured.
